D'you know, despite telling everyone and e-mailing the notice board about my absence yesterday, I got a call from my agency yesterday saying that HR at Pharma Balimo had just called them asking where I was.
What I couldn't understand was why they'd called at 5.15pm, by which time I would've gone home anyway! Mungously barmy.

Both Steven and I turned up that morning with dreadfully poor haircuts.
Pharma Balimo is not a real company, but I came up with the name back when I needed a relevant "everycompany" to insert into presentations. I still love the name and it lives on here now as the nom-de-crime of my own past employers.
However, I did work in Uxbridge at the time. "Uxbridge" is a funny place name, so it stays.
Interestingly, Uxbridge is also a crime. A crime against humanity!
